How do I add films clip to my course site?

If you’d like to digitize and offer short clips of videos from a DVD or other source, CTL recommends the following options:

FIrst, check to see if the video you want is available publicly or via Columbia University Library’s subscription services.

If the video is on YouTube you can use tools like Embed Plus to extract a particular scene.

If you have a DVD or VHS tape that is owned by the library, you can request CTL to process a short segments and Columbia Library Reserves will upload them to your Courseworks Library Reserves list. Short clips can also be used in Columbia on-line analysis spaces such as Mediathread.
