Can videos be made private on YouTube?

Yes, though "Private" videos on YouTube can only be shared with a specified Google account or an email address.

A recommended solution is designating a video as “Unlisted”, which makes the video inaccessible to web browsing, indexing, or searching. It is only accessible if a user knows the video URL. Unlisted videos provide some level of privacy, but should not be considered secure.
