Can my department maintain its own YouTube channel?

Of course. It is not required that you use Columbia Learn's channel and many departments at Columbia choose to have their own standard YouTube channel. However, because of its extended set of channel features that are not offered on standard YouTube channels, as well as the media service support that CTL provides, there are a number of benefits to using Columbia Learn’s branded channel. Also, because Columbia Learn on YouTube is so robust and continues to expand, the channel receives a high level of web traffic, which your school, department, or center can benefit from.
